- barnes & barnes (vancouver) - The inimitable Barnes & Barnes is a long-time SKYBAR contributor (at that other thing in the forest, and beyond). Barnes & Barnes is a Vancouver-based DJ and musician who thinks life is better at 40-50Hz at 95-100dB. Trained as a classical bassoonist, and dj'ed for ~15 years, he is a lifelong music lover. His blend of house, techno, dnb, grime and UKG have moved dancefloors at many burning man parties, Vancouver venues such as the PNE, Osito, The Score, Downbeat in Victoria and many afterhours events.
- sassbot (victoria) - Known for keeping the dancefloor ignited, sassbot is an autonomous humanoid machine powered by bass, funk, and whisky.Bringing genre-fluid booty-shaking jams to your dance floor for a decade from Capital Ballroom and Hermann's Upstairs, several Otherworld and BitF stages, and mountaintops and beachfronts around around the island -- she consistently delivers feel-good tunes, a few horns, a few breaks, and seriously satisfying bass grooves. Her magnetic pull will have you dancing until the music stops.
